Montefiore dell’Aso

Montefiore dell’Aso is among the most beautiful of small Italian villages. It is a favoured destination for non-traditional tourism, an ideal place for a few months of calm and tranquillity or somewhere to get your own place, where you can return again and again and escape from the pressures of daily life. It is located in the province of Ascoli Piceno, halfway between the mountains and the sea in a wonderful position. Situated on a spur which divides two valleys, those of the rivers Aso and Menocchia, over the years it has been rechristened the “village of the artists” due to the number of artists it has produced such as Adolfo De Carolis, Carlo Crivelli, il Maestro di Offida, Domenico Cantatore, Giancarlo Basile among others.

The San Francesco Museum is of national importance with its collection of masterpieces and then there are also the many wonderful frescoes in the interiors of the churches that rise up within a few kilometres of each other, providing us with a highly stimulating artistic itinerary.

The Luxury Boutique Hotel Magnolia is a traditional structure with modern furnishings, designed with a careful eye for detail, to ensure you won’t be disturbed in this marvellous landscape. It offers refined and elegant surroundings and total respect. Run by the Razzano family, it offers its guests a splendid swimming pool with views over the hills and the culinary delights produced by its young chef, Alessandro Pantalei, who aims to create excellence with local products. The Magnolia has set the trend for a form of tourism that is growing every year and now attracts Italians themselves who want to get away from it all just for weekend even though the area is still considered to be a paradise for Russians, Americans and north Europeans.
