Capri - 19 September 2016 - Eleonora Ferrante
In 1995 the brand Harmont & Blaine was launched on the charming island town of Capri, presenting its first full collection of menswear.
A brand that stands above the usual dictates of fashion, taking inspiration from the colours and atmosphere of the coast, sun and elation in every piece. The perfect balance of hues influenced by the sun and originality has revolutionised menswear, designing garments that offer the right combination of style and comfort for work and leisure. This is an energetic and radiant style typical of a fertile land far from dull formalism.
A hallmark of Harmont & Blaine is certainly its logo: a small dachshund dog. The history of this dog reflects the company’s philosophy and values. The Dachshund is a German dog born for the hunt but it has developed a very acute sense of smell and intelligence to make up for its obvious physical limitations.
Just as he had to do with the small company in order to succeed in a challenging and competitive Italian fashion market.
Over the years, in addition to men’s fashion, the brand also created a womens’ wear line. The women’s collection for winter 2017 flaunts shades like grey and camel tones brightened by lime, orange and geranium red, colours reminiscent of a sunset sky.
This is a collection inspired by the Mediterranean style designed for a casually elegant woman, a woman seeking comfort and refinement to be worn at any time. The dachshund brand for this cold season offers a selection
of women’s outerwear, including the double-breasted wool models in delicate
shades like pastel green or even more intense such as the strawberry pink, and others featuring motifs inspired by tapestry or check.
In the Harmont & Blaine collection, lightweight down jackets and short coats make an appearance, along with a series of blazers to be worn for both day and evening. This a wardrobe that says yes to panache without sacrificing glamour.
